Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria has decreased during week No 14 (02.04.2012 - 08.04.2012) and the total incidence per 10,000 population was 61.93 (during week No 13 the incidence was 72.12). From a total of 380,239 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  2 355 ARI cases have been reported (during week No13 the cases were 2 744). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (288.93 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (161.49 per 10,000). Higher incidence has been reported in Haskovo (177.94).

During week No 14  totally of 4  samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 2 positive results were detected  for A/H3N2.
