Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was increased during week No 02 (11.01.2016-17.01.2016). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 126.02 (during week No 01 the incidence was 116.28). From a total of 384 309 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4838 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 01 the cases were 4464). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (487.47 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (303.12 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 02 totally of 26 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 4 positive results for А(Н1N1) 2009 were detected.
