Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was slowly increased during week No 47 (20.11.05.2017-26.11.2017). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 104.25 (during week No 46 the incidence was 99.84). From a total of 381 659 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 3977 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 46 the cases were 3809). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (473.82 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (317.68 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 47 totally of 35 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
