During week No. 1/2025 (30 December 2024 - 05 January 2025), 2,659 cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARI) were recorded among the surveillance population of 346,739, an incidence rate of 76.69 per 10,000 (previous week - 1,570 cases recorded, an incidence rate of 45.28 per 10,000 among the surveillance population of 346,739). The national incidence rate is higher than the previous week, but below the same week of the previous season. The incidence in the 0-4 age group was 301.50 (previous week 209.50) per 10 000 population and in the 5-14 age group it was 143.70 per 10 000 population (previous week 104.37).

In the week, 54 clinical samples of ARI patients were tested by Real Time PCR in the Influenza and ARI NRL. There were 11 cases of influenza A(H3N2) virus, 8 cases of influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 virus and 11 cases of influenza B Victoria virus. No influenza viruses were isolated in children under 5 years of age in the 45 clinical samples examined, but other respiratory viruses were demonstrated: respiratory syncytial virus (2), adenoviruses (3) and other (3) viruses.
