Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 52 (24.12.2012 - 30.12.2012) and the total incidence per 10,000 population was 30.72(during week No 51 the incidence was 72.94). From a total of 381 562 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 172 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 51 the cases were 2 783). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (155.43 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (71.66 per 10,000).

During week No 52 totally of 23 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
