Week No 52

In week 52 (25.12.2023-31.12.2023), the prevalence rates of acute respiratory infections (ARI) and influenza, were lower compared to the previous week: the overall incidence rate was 49.49 per 10 000 people (122. 52 per 10,000 people for the previous week); 1802 cases of ARI were registered among the total 364,095 persons of all age groups observed (4461 for the previous week); the incidence in the 0-4 age group was 240.20, followed by the 5-14 age group (116.73).

In the national reference laboratory, influenza viruses were proven in four samples: in one sample A/H3N2; influenza viruses A/H1N1 (2009) were proven in 3 samples. No influenza viruses were demonstrated in samples from children under 5 years of age, but RSV was isolated.
