Inluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was increased during week No 10 (07.03.2016-13.03.2016). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 108.33 (during week No 09 the incidence was 65.22). From a total of 384 309 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4159 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 09 the cases were 2504). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (495.42 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (283.44 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 10 totally of 38 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 5 positive results for А(Н1N1) 2009, 4 positive results type B were detected.
