Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria increased during week No 40 (03.10.2016-09.10.2016).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 61.62
(during week No 39 the incidence was 44.87). From a total of 383 902 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 2365 ARI cases have
been reported (during week No 39 the cases were 1722). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (264.93 per 10,000 population), followed by
age group of 5-14 yrs (163.20 per 10,000).
