Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was higher than medium during week No 06 (05.02.2018-11.02.2018).  The total incidence per 10,000 population decrease and was 139.14 (during week No 05 the incidence was 197.72). From a total of 381 493 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 5 308 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 05  the cases were 7 543). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (441.12 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (342.03 per 10,000).  

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 06  totally of 90 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 6  positive results  for А(Н1N1) 2009 and 34  positive results type B  were detected.
