Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was higher than medium during week No 08 (19.02.2018-25.02.2018).  The total incidence per 10,000 population decrease and was 128.86 (during week No 07 the incidence was 124.88). From a total of 381 493 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4 916 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 07  the cases were 4 764). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (447.55 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (355.33 per 10,000).  

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 08    totally of 44 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 7 positive results  for А(Н1N1) 2009 and 15 positive results type B/Yamagata were detected.
