Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 14 (02.04.2018-08.04.2018).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 46.58 (during week No 13 the incidence was 89.15). From a total of 381 493 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 777 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 13  the cases were 3 401). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (246.56 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (123.16 per 10,000).  

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 14     totally of 16 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
