Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 15 (09.04.2018-15.04.2018).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 45.03 (during week No 14 the incidence was 46.58). From a total of 381 493 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 718 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 14  the cases were 1 777). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (235.30 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (126.56 per 10,000).  

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 15     totally of 7 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
