Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 24 (11.06.2018-17.06.2018).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 39.35 (during week No 23  the incidence was 41.49). From a total of 381 493 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 501 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 23  the cases were  1 583). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (222.97 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (91.45 per 10,000).  

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 24     totally of 8 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
