In week No. 50 of 2022 (12/12/2022- 12/18/2022), the overall incidence rate for the country is 120.93 per 10,000 people (previous week it was 115.84). Among the total 373,025 persons of all age groups monitored in the 50th week of 2022, 4511 cases of ARI were recorded (previous week 4321). The highest incidence was in the age group 0-4 years (538.56) followed by the age group 5-14 years (367.49). Increase in incidence was reported in all age groups.  Data on the incidence of ARI in the last week indicate that the epidemic process in the country is on the rise, markedly pronounced in the districts of Gabrovo, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Varna and Yambol. In other districts of the country, there are average levels of illness, which are slightly increasing in some districts and slightly decreasing in others in comparison with the indicators of the previous two weeks, but the prevalence of ARI is within the usual seasonal range.  Influenza viruses A/H3N2 have been detected in 8 samples, A/H1N1(2009) in 8 samples. Other causative agents of respiratory infections- adenoviruses (9), respiratory syncytial (48) and other viruses were isolated.
