In week No. 52 of 2022 (26.12.2022 - 01.01.2023), the overall incidence rate for the country was 53.32 per 10,000 people (previous week's rate was 117.63). Among the total 373,025 persons of all age groups monitored in the 52nd week of 2022, 1989 cases of ARI were recorded (previous week 4388 ). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 years (234.81) followed by the age group 5-14 years (130.35). The epidemiological data reflect a sharp decline in the incidence of ARI during the last week of the year, which can be explained by the peculiarities of the implementation of surveillance activities during the Christmas and New Year holidays. As of 04 January 2023, very low incidence rates of respiratory infections have been reported in the information system from 23 districts of the country, in contrast to the previous week, when in fourteen districts of the country the prevalence of ARI was within the usual seasonal range, and in the remaining fourteen districts of the country the epidemic process was on the rise, reaching high levels close to epidemic values in 4 districts.
