Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was higher than medium during week No 9 (27.02.2023 - 05.03.2023). The total incidence per 10, 000 population decrease and was 96,99 (during the week 8 the incidence was 128,81). From a total of 373,025 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 3 618 ARI cases have been reported (during the week 8 they were 4 805). The incidence is highest in the age group 0-4 ys (365.95 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-19 ys old (301.38 per 10,000).

In the NRL "Influenza and ARI" during the period 52 samples were tested, of which 11 were positive for influenza A- A/H1N1(2009) - 5 and 6 positive for influenza B/Victoria. No influenza viruses were demonstrated in 38 samples of children under 5 years of age tested,  respiratory syncytial virus and other viruses.
