During week No. 40 ( 02.10.2023- 08.10.2023), the level of intensity of the epidemic process of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARD) continued to increase, with an overall incidence of 51.29 per 10 000 people (42.94 per 10 000 people for the previous week).
Among the total 370,088 persons of all age groups observed in the 40th week of 2023, 1898 cases of ARI were recorded (1603 for the previous week). No data were submitted for Lovech district.
The incidence in the 0-4 age group was 203.17, followed by the 5-14 age group (143.29). Increase in incidence was recorded in all age groups.
No influenza viruses were isolated.
