Week No 13

During the 13th week of 2025 (24.03-30.03.2025), 2 653 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were recorded among a surveillance population of 346 739 people, representing an incidence rate of 76.5 per 10 000 population. The national incidence rate decreased compared to the previous week (2 884 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza among a surveillance population of 346 739 people, an incidence rate of 83.17 per 10 000 population). The morbidity reached a slightly lower level than that of the same week of the previous season.
The overall incidence for the country as well as by age group decreased and reached the post-epidemic levels usually observed towards the end of the season.
Influenza A(H3N2) and B/Victoria viruses have been confirmed at the Influenza and ARI Reference Laboratory of the National Centre of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. Respiratory syncytial viruses, adenoviruses and other respiratory viruses have also been demonstrated
