Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was slowly increased during week No 48 (24.11.05.2025-30.11.2025). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 92.20 (during week No 47 the incidence was 90.79). From a total of 347 500 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 3204 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 47 the cases were 3155). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (393.93 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (271.23 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 48 totally of 137 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Influenza viruses A/H3N2 have been detected in 3 samples. 3 positive results type A/H3N2 were isolated in the 93 clinical specimens examined in children under 5 years of ag, PIV (1), AdV (3) and other viruses (19).
