During week 49 of 2025 (December 1-7, 2025), 3,301 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were reported among a monitored population of 347,500 people, representing an incidence rate of 94.99 per 10,000 population. During the previous week, 3,204 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were registered among a monitored population of 347,500 people, representing an incidence rate of 92.20 per 10,000 population. The incidence of influenza and ARI is typical for the season, increasing gradually and reaching the levels for the same period of the previous year, varying widely in different areas of the country. The incidence in the 0-4 age group is 403.96 per 10,000 population, and in the 5-14 age group it is 278.49 per 10,000 population.
During this period, 91 samples were tested at the National Reference Laboratory for Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections. Influenza virus A/H3N2 was detected in 11 samples, and A/H1N1(2009) was detected in 3 samples. Since the beginning of this season (September 29, 2025, to December 7, 2025), 585 samples have been tested at the NRL, of which 15 tested positive for A/H3N2 and 6 for A/H1N1(2009). The circulation of parainfluenza viruses, adenoviruses, and other respiratory viruses has been confirmed.
