During week 50 of 2025 (December 8-14, 2025), 3,571 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were reported among a monitored population of 347,500 people, representing an incidence rate of 102.76 per 10,000 population. During the previous week, 3,301 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were registered among a monitored population of 347,500 people, representing an incidence rate of 94.99 per 10,000 population. The incidence of influenza and ARI is typical for the season, increasing gradually and reaching the levels for the same period of the previous year, varying widely in different areas of the country. The incidence in the 0-4 age group is 457.91 per 10,000 population, and in the 5-14 age group it is 295.04 per 10,000 population.

During this period, 135 samples were tested at the National Reference Laboratory for Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections. Influenza virus A/H3N2 was detected in 14 samples, and A/H1N1(2009) was detected in 6 samples. Since the beginning of this season (September 29, 2025, to December 14, 2025), 720 samples have been tested at the NRL, of which 29 tested positive for A/H3N2 and 12 for A/H1N1(2009). The circulation of parainfluenza viruses, adenoviruses, and other respiratory viruses has been confirmed.
