During the sixth week of 2025 (03.02.2025-09.02.2025 ), 4,643 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza were recorded among a surveillance population of 346,739 people, representing an incidence rate of 133.90 per 10,000 population. The national incidence rate decreased compared to the previous week (6 154 cases , incidence rate 177.48 per 10 000 population). The prevalence reached the level of the same week of the previous season. The overall incidence in all age groups also decreased compared to the previous week, particularly marked in young children. The incidence by age group was: 515.98%000 in 0-4 years; 341.17%000 in 5-14 years.

In week 6, 193 clinical samples of patients with ARI were tested simultaneously for influenza A/B and SARS-CoV-2 viruses by Real Time PCR in the Influenza and ARI NRL. 17 A(H1N1)pdm09 influenza viruses, 31 A(H3N2) influenza viruses, 21 influenza B/Victoria viruses were detected.

147 clinical samples of children under 5 years of age were further tested for non-influenza respiratory viruses: RSV was demonstrated in 12 samples, parainfluenza virus in 2 samples, adenovirus in 3 samples and other respiratory viruses in 13 samples.

Mixed infections were demonstrated in single cases of the samples tested.
