During the seventh week of 2025 (10.02.2025-16.02.2025 ), 4,111 cases of acute respiratory illness and influenza were recorded among a surveillance population of 346,739, representing an incidence rate of 118.56 per 10,000 population. The national incidence rate decreased compared to the previous week (4 643 cases of acute respiratory diseases and influenza in a surveillance population of 346 739 people, an incidence rate of 133.90 per 10 000 population). The incidence reached the level of the same week of the previous season. The overall incidence in all age groups also decreased compared to the previous week, especially marked in young children. The incidence by age group was: 449.46%000 in 0-4 years; 329.03%000 in 5-14 years. The number of registered cases of ARI and influenza decreased in almost all district towns.
In week 7, 191 clinical specimens of patients with ARI were tested simultaneously for influenza A/B and SARS-CoV-2 viruses by Real Time PCR at the Influenza and ARI NRL. 8 A(H1N1)pdm09 influenza viruses, 22 A(H3N2)influenza viruses, 34 influenza B/Victoria viruses were detected.
RSV (in 20 samples), adenovirus (in 1 sample), and other respiratory viruses in 17 samples were demonstrated in 144 clinical samples of children under 5 years of age additionally tested for non-influenza respiratory viruses.
