In week 38 of 2026 (14-20 September 2026), 840 cases of acute respiratory infections and influenza were recorded amongst a monitored population of 339,248 people, representing an incidence rate of 24.76 per 10,000 population. In the previous week, 700 cases were recorded (an incidence rate of 20.12 per 10,000 population). The average incidence rate for the country has risen slightly compared with the previous two weeks. Data on influenza and acute respiratory infections (ARI) for the week show lower levels than those recorded during the same period last year. During the week, no influenza viruses were isolated at the national reference laboratory for influenza and ARI.
