Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria has low during week No 52 (22.12.2008 - 28.12.2008). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 47.63 (during the week 51 the incidence was 106.08). From a total of 379,796 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  1 809  ARI cases have been reported (during the week 51 they were 4 029). The incidence is highest in the age group 0-4 ys (284.17) per 10,000 population), followed by age group of  5-19 ys old (99.08 per 10,000). High incidence has been reported in: Vratsa (95.37), Kjustendil (93.50) and  Stara Zagora (198.42).
