Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was slowly increased and during week No 45 (07.11.2011 - 13.11.2011) the total incidence per 10,000 population was 107.43 (during week No 44 the incidence was 99.97 ). From a total of 380,886 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  4 085  ARI cases have been reported (during week No 44  the cases were 3 803 ). The incidence is highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (504.58 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (257.33 per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Stara Zagora (212.13), Silistra (168.67), Haskovo (157.01) and Vidin (142.19).

During week No 45  totally of 7 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
