Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was unchanged and during week No 46 (14.11.2011 - 20.11.2011) the total incidence per 10,000 population was 102.04 (during week No 45 the incidence was 107.43 ). From a total of 380,886 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  3 880 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 45  the cases were 4 085). The incidence is highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (487.55 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (275.82 per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Lovech (222.54), Silistra (187.42 )and Montana (173.32)

During week No 46  totally of 8 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
