Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was slowly increased during week No 45 (05.11.2012 -11.11.2012) and the total incidence per 10,000 population was 86.45 (during week No 44 the incidence was 55.23). From a total of 382,197 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  3 304 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 44 the cases were 2 100 ). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (381.02 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (247.36 per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Lovech (177.64) and Haskovo (164.81).

During week No 45 totally of 2 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
