Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 22 (27.05.2013 -02.06.2013) and the total incidence per 10,000 population was 35.33 (during week No 21 the incidence was 31.79 ). From a total of 381 562 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of  1 348 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 21 the cases were 1 213 ). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (175.40 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (100.07 per 10,000).

During week No 22  а total of 2 nasopharyngeal swabs from patients with acute viral infections have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARI by molecular diagnostic method Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
