Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was medium  during week No 13 (24.03.2014 - 30.03.2014). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 76.91 (during week No 12 the incidence was 83.13). From a total of 380 586 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 2 927  ARI cases have been reported (during week No 12 the cases were 3 164). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (355.57 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (223.16 per 10,000).

During week No 13  а total of 14 nasopharyngeal swabs from patients with acute viral infections have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARI by molecular diagnostic method Real Time PCR. The 2  positive results for А(Н1N1)pdm09  were detected.
