Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 15 (07.04.2014 - 13.04.2014). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 53.21 (during week No 14 the incidence was 48.14 ). From a total of 380 586 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 2 025  ARI cases have been reported (during week No 14 the cases were 1 832). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (232.10 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (144.89  per 10,000).

During week No 15  а total of 3 nasopharyngeal swabs from patients with acute viral infections have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARI by molecular diagnostic method Real Time PCR.  1 positive result for influenza type B was detected.
