Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was increased during week No 46 (10.11.2014 -16.11.2014). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 112.36 (during week No 45 the incidence was 99.24). From a total of 380 043 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4270 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 45 the cases were 3773). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (513.41  per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (312.41  per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Varna (129.07), Pernik (220.99), Pleven (175.59) and Silistra (226.74)  .

Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 46 totally of 21 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
