Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria  was higher than medium   during week No 08 (16.02.2015-22.02.2015). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 133.99 (during week No 07 the incidence was 129.26). From a total of 384 354 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 5150 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 07 the cases were 4968). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (479.87  per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (343.22 per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Vidin (181.27), Dobrich (143.03), Lovech (218.38), Silistra (180.23) and  Sliven (174.97).


Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No8 totally of 33 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR.   1 positive result for А(Н1N1) 2009, 5 positive results for type A/H3N2 and 1 positive result for type B were detected .
