Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria  was increased during week No 09 (23.02.2015-01.03.2015). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 150.85 (during week No 08 the incidence was 133.99). From a total of 384 354 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 5798 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 08 the cases were 5150). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (545.55  per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (392.55 per 10,000). The highest incidence has been reported in: Varna (175.39), Lovech (215.54), Pernik (180.93), Pleven (274.54), Razgrad (178.64), Silistra (191.86),  Sliven (258.55) and Haskovo (236.85).

Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No8 totally of 91 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR.   7 positive results for А(Н1N1) 2009, 21 positive results for type A/H3N2 and 6 positive results for type B were detected .
