Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria  was higher than medium  during week No 12 (16.03.2015-22.03.2015).   The total incidence per 10,000 population was 122.34 (during week No 11 the incidence was 126.11). From a total of 384 354 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4772 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 11 the cases were 4847). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (479.87  per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (341.72 per 10,000).

Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No12 totally of 44 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR.  7  positive results for type A/H3N2 and 4 positive results for type B were detected .
