Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria  was higher than medium  during week No 13 (23.03.2015-29.03.2015).   The total incidence per 10,000 population was 101.55 (during week No 12 the incidence was 122.34). From a total of 384 354 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 3903 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 12 the cases were 4772). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (391.43 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (276.25 per 10,000).

Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No13 totally of 14 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR.  2  positive results for type A/H3N2 and 3 positive results for type B were detected .
