Iinfluenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria  was low during week No 16 (13.04.2015-19.04.2015).   The total incidence  per 10,000 population  decreased and was 57.24 (during week No 15 the incidence was 58.57). From a total of 384 354 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 2200 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 15 the cases were 2251). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (227.22 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (126.76 per 10,000).

Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No16 totally of 8 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR.   2 positive results for type B were detected .
