Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 15 (10.04.2017-16.04.2017). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 43.42 (during week No 14 the incidence was 66.08). From a total of 382 104 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 659 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 14 the cases were 2 525). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (234.82 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (118.29 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 15 totally of 7 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
