Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 24 (12.06.05.2017-18.06.2017). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 35.23 (during week No 23 the incidence was 37.97). From a total of 382 104 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1 346 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 23 the cases were 1 451). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (186.37 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (94.05 per 10,000).
Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 24 totally of 3 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. Positive results have not been detected.
