Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was slowly increased  during week No 50 (11.12.05.2017-17.12.2017).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 116.02 (during week No 49 the incidence was 103.96). From a total of 381 659 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 4426 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 49 the cases were 3966). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (488.29 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (346.27 per 10,000). 

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 50 totally of 14 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 1 positive result for А(Н1N1) 2009 was  detected.
