Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 52 (25.12.05.2017-31.12.2017).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 46.68 (during week No 51 the incidence was 109.31). From a total of 381 659 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1781 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 51  the cases were 4170). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (228.33 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (126.28 per 10,000). 

 Information from National Reference Laboratory of Influenza and Acute Respiratory Infections at NCIPD: During week No 52 totally of 5 samples from suspect patients have been investigated in the NRL of Influenza and ARD by Real Time PCR. 1 positive result for А(Н1N1) 2009 was  detected.
