Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 03 (18.01.2021 – 24.01.2021). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 43,87  (during week No 02 the incidence was 41,38). From a total of 378 884 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1662 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 02 the cases were 1568). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (198.75 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (117.39 per 10,000 population).

During the 3rd week of 2021 in the NRL "Influenza and ARI" 99 samples were tested with the Real-Time PCR method for the presence of influenza virus. All are negative.
