Influenza and ARI intensity in Bulgaria was low during week No 38 (20.09.2021 до 26.09.2021). The total incidence per 10,000 population was 37,41 (during week No 37 the incidence was 37,50). To the moment, only the data from Gabrovo are not presented, calculated and included into the national information. At the present time, Gabrovo is the region with very high COVID-19 incidence rate.
From a total of 373 667 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 1398 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 37 the cases were 1421). The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (183,67per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (113,86per 10,000 population).
An increase of the ARI incidence is registered among all age groups. During the week № 38 a total of 27 samples were tested in the National Lab without flu detection but other respiratory viruses among children in the age 0-5 ys were isolated as: AdV(2), RSV(1), PIV(1) , other(3).
