An increase of ARI and influenza intensity in Bulgaria was observed during the week No 41 (11.10.2021 до 17.10.2021).  The total incidence per 10,000 population was 75,84  (during week No 40 the incidence was 74,30 ). From a total of 373 667 persons under surveillance, belonging to all age groups, a total of 2834 ARI cases have been reported (during week No 40 the cases were 2815). Data from the region of Gabrovo not presented.  The incidence was highest in the age group 0-4 yrs (326, 77 per 10,000 population), followed by age group of 5-14 yrs (263, 48 per 10,000 population). An increase of the ARI incidence is registered among all age groups. During the week № 41 a total of 9 samples from all age groups were tested in the National Lab without flu detection. Another 13 samples obtained from children within age 0-5 ys were tested and other respiratory viruses were isolated from 10 out of the  all samples. No flu viruses, no AdV, no RSV or PIV.
