At the National Reference Laboratory for Influenza and ARI, 40 clinical samples were tested, 10 of which showed evidence of influenza viruses: type A (in 6 samples, A/H1N1 (2009); in 4 samples, A/H3N2); and influenza B/Victoria virus (in 2 samples). No influenza viruses were demonstrated in 36 samples from children under 5 years of age, but AdV(1) , PIV(2) and other(5) respiratory viruses were isolated.

During week No. 9 (26.02.2024-03.03.2024) the intensity of the epidemic process of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARD) slightly decreases. The registered morbidity rate is 90.97 per 10 000 people (98.93 per 10 000 people for the previous week). Among the surveillance population of 364 092 persons, 3312 cases of ARI were recorded during the period (3602 the previous week). The incidence decreased in all age groups but remained highest in the age groups 0-4 years (396.87 per 10,000 population) and 5-14 years (312.23 per 10,000 population).
