During week 16 (15.04.2024-21.04.2024), the recorded incidence of ARI and influenza was 58.61 per 10,000 people (57.48 per 10,000 people in the previous week). Among the monitored population of 364 295 persons, 2 135 cases of ARI were registered during the period (2 094 for the previous week). The weekly incidence increased slightly in the age groups 0-4 years, 5-14 years and 15-29 years compared to the previous week. The highest incidence was in the age groups 0-4 years (244.33 per 10 000 population) and 5-14 years (185.99 per 10 000 population).
In the national reference laboratory 34 samples were tested, in 1 sample influenza virus type B/Victoria was proved. No influenza viruses were proven in samples tested from children under 5 years of age, but PIV(1), AdV(3), RSV(1), and other(8) respiratory viruses were isolated.
