In week No. 28 (08.07-14.07.2024), a decrease in the number of recorded cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARI) compared to the previous week was reported, respectively a lower overall morbidity and by age groups. There were 1 175 cases among the surveillance population out of a total of 364 295, an incidence rate of 32.25 per 10 000 population (previous week: 1 268 registered cases, incidence rate 34.81 per 10 000). The incidence in the 0-4 age group was 151.98 per 10,000 population and in the 5-14 age group was 79.02 per 10,000 population. The level of morbidity is low, typical for the season.

Twenty samples were tested at the national reference laboratory, of which influenza B/Victoria virus was isolated in 1 sample. No influenza viruses were detected in 19 samples from children under 5 years of age, but other respiratory viruses were isolated.
