In week No. № 29 (15.07-21.07.2024), a decrease in the number of recorded cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARI) compared to the previous week was reported, respectively a lower overall morbidity and by age groups. There were 1 155 cases among the surveillance population out of a total of 364 295, an incidence rate of 31,71 per 10 000 population (previous week: 1 175 registered cases, incidence rate 32.25 per 10 000). The incidence in the 0-4 age group was 151.39 per 10,000 population and in the 5-14 age group was 77.90 per 10,000 population. The level of morbidity is low, typical for the season.

11 samples were tested at the national reference laboratory, from which no influenza virus has been isolated. In samples tested from children up to 5 years of age, other respiratory viruses (5), adenovirus (1),PIV(1) were isolated.
