During week No. 36 (02.09-08.09.2024), 1,143 cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARI) were recorded among the surveillance population out of a total of 364,295, an incidence rate of 31.38 per 10,000 population (previous week - 1,325 recorded cases, an incidence rate of 36.37 per 10,000 population). The incidence in the age group 0-4 years was 127.43 per 10,000 population and in the age group 5-14 years was 59.55 per 10,000 population. The level of morbidity shows a decrease compared to the indicators of the previous week, but is typical for the season.
The national reference laboratory tested 12 samples, from which no influenza viruses were isolated. No influenza viruses have been demonstrated in samples tested from children under 5 years of age, but PIV (1) and other (1) respiratory viruses have been isolated.
