During week 38 (16.09-22.09.2024), 1 590 cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARD) were recorded among the surveillance population of 364 295, incidence rate 43.65 per 10 000 population (previous week - 1 417 cases recorded, incidence rate 38.90 per 10 000 population). The incidence in the age group 0-4 years was 189.39 per 10,000 population( previous week 173.02 per 10,000) and in the age group 5-14 years was 103.86 per 10,000 population (79.02 per 10,000 population). The level of morbidity shows an increase compared to the previous week's indicators, but is typical for the season.
The national reference laboratory tested 47 samples, of which no influenza viruses were isolated. No influenza viruses have been demonstrated in samples tested from children under 5 years of age, but AdV (1), and other (2) respiratory viruses have been isolated.
